				From the first time that I opened OTSDJ I loved it. The GUI (Graphical User Interface) was excellent. All the important tools that one would need to run a radio station were there. I especially like the "autoDJ" function which performes automatic cross fading from one song to another. Another important and time saving feature of OTSDJ is the "playlist generator". The playlist generator will generate a 24 hour playlist based upon a user defined template.

			The template allows the user to select which catagories of music the playlist will be generated from. It is also possible to include spots, jingles, and sliders into the playlist at a selectable interval. Other parameters include the "seperate same artist" and "seperate same title" by a user defined number of songs. 		As I previously mentioned before, XJO is completely automated. The station is capable of running up to weeks at a time without operator intervention. The computer that XJO is running on is a home built rack mounted server. The server has a large UPS that will allow the station and transmitter to run for almost a half hour without AC power. The sound card that the XJO server is using is a Sound Blaster "Live". The audio output (analog) from the "speaker" jack is fed directly into a Symetrix 422 Stereo AGC leveler. The output of the Symetrix 422 is fed via an XLR cable into an Omnia3-AM digital audio processor.
