The analog audio output from the Omnia3-AM is fed into a 5 conductor
teflon cable that leads up to a remote mounted AM Broadcast Transmitter
located at the top of our tower at a height of 70 feet. The transmitter is
a Rangemaster AM1000 produced by Hamilton Electronics in North
Carolina. The transmitter has been tuned to a maximum power output of
100 milliwatts to comply with FCC Part 15 Rules and Regulation. The
primary coverage area of XJO is 2 to 4 miles. In the primary coverage
area XJO can be heard loud and clear. The secondary coverage area of
XJO is 4 to 6 miles. In the secondary coverage area XJO can still be
heard but the signal can be compromised by any noise common to AM.
